hap.jpgIf you have 10 reasons to be sad and depressed, there are 100 reasons to be happy. It all depends on the way you handle stress and problems. If you really want to be happy, you first need to make a conscious decision that you are going to be happy no matter what. There are numerous benefits of being happy – you will be more healthier and have a positive outlook towards life.

Here are some ways to bring back the happiness in your life:

1. Stop trying to be perfect. Don’t expect perfection from yourself or from anybody. You don’t need to impress people around you and you don’t have to get everything done perfectly.

2. Be happy and satisfied with what you have. Stop comparing with others at every stage, this will infact add to your misery. Be happy and content with your life. Remove the feelings of jealousy and enemity.

3. Schedule some time for yourself. Give yourself one hour each day when you can truly relax and enjoy yourself. Do some exercise, work on a hobby, go for a walk, or read a book. Pamper youself with some massages or beauty therapies. Meditate or pray to God. This will renew your energy and concentration.

4. If you are too stressed at work, take a break and refresh your energy. Go for a holiday with your family and friends. Explore new places. Taking breaks helps your body recover the lost energy. You may take short or long breaks, depending on your work and stress levels. When you get back to work after a break, your concentration and focus improves a great deal and you are more motivated.

5. Don’t be alone all the time. Go out with your friends and talk to them on the phone regularly. Watch a movie, go shopping or do things that you always loved but did not get the time because of your busy schedules. Call your friends home and watch a funny movie together.

6. If you are a working parent, take a break from work and spend time with your kids. Or play with your pets. Visit your relatives and throw a party for them. Dance and sing with them.

7. Be grateful to people around you. Be thankful for even small favours and blessings.

8. Help Others. It has been observed that helping others gives you immense satisfaction and happiness. Make someone’s life more beautiful by contributing in your own small way.

9. Re-assess your priorties. Spend time with your family and pray to God. Stay in the present. Do not waste time regretting your past or worrying about the future.

10. Laugh out loud atleast once in a day and keep smiling. Focus on things that keep you happy instead of those that keep you down. Forget your worries and pains, everybody in this world, has some problems. But it all depends on the way you deal with it.

    11. Wellness or a big salary (often means a lot of work and stress) don’t make you more happy. 12. Happiness also starts in your body. You need to be healthy and be good to yourself to be happy.

    Pamoer your self with massages and luxuries and meditation courses.
    to gaive away to charity
    To buy enough good gifts for those around you and your family to please them and make eachother happy
    to afford health insurance keep your body and mind from hurting you
    to afford trouble fraa living in decent homes not needing repairs often

    A lot of good information, but keep the God shit out! The most religious people in the world are poor and fucked by the other most religious ones, the hypocritical, filthy rich ones.

    But the rest of the advice here is very good, and based on psychological studies.

    One last note about the previously mentioned study. It is partially true that when you pray you feel better but that is just one more form of denial and that only works for a little while. Another exam also notice that people who prayed while sick in a hospital did not get any extra benefits in contrast to the ones that were more spiritual with body and mind exercises that exclude “a God” this group faired a little better.

    Want proof prayer doesn’t work? HEART, a peer reviewed journal for cardiologists, has a study proving the worst patients were those who knew people prayed for them. it’s online, look it up. Happy Heart Health from me to you! Don’t pray for anyone! Save their heart! (it’s double blind, peer reviewed…a study by cardiologists, psychiatrists and some people from the church) They had the worst outcomes after heart surgery…controlled for everything and still.. they did worse…Those who didn’t know (2 groups one prayed for, one not, had no difference) But if you knew they (the hospital calls them The God Squad) were praying for you, well, you got sicker…

    People who don’t believe in God are finally coming out of the closet and we are so weary of seeing “pray to God” on every list (did you miss it Tim, it is here). Agressive? us? Hardly…I turn on the TV and there’s another in your face bible thumper..we’re just asking – keep your prayers and faith out of lists. Imagine…a world where people do good not because it is demanded or commanded but because it makes them happy….because it is simply the best way to spend our time here.
