I love this mask. who cares what it looks like! Just don’t let anyone see you when you have it on, if you’re so insecure about it.

For me it makes my skin feel healthy, smooth, and very calm. Helpful if you have sore puffy acne.

Hey Jenny McCaw n Peter, why does it bother you two so much someone doesn’t like the mask as much as you guys? Do you have to get s so nasty? Is it because you guys really need it ? and I doubt you two are model material either. Hahaha ! Don’t b bitter, just cuz Maggie doesn’t like it. Instead of putting it on your faces , next time shove it in your mouths and eat it, i also heard it has a calming effect mentally. :) that goes for the rest of you bitter haters.

You need to get over the way it look and try it. I have used Oatmeal mask off and on for years. It may not look good but the results are good. I plan to use it regularly, I came to the site to see how often can it be used during a week.

I tryed the first one and my skin felt so soft after I washed it. I had to laugh so hard when I saw myself in the mirror. But I believe it helped my skin from breaking out as well.

Recipe 1 is great! Although you look horrible with it on, the effects are miraculous!!!! Using this mask every other day along with a daily oral contraceptive cleared my acne in about 3 weeks. I stopped using this for about a month and the acne came back. LOVE THIS STUFF!

I have tried almost every product on the market for my acne-prone skin. The ONLY PRODUCT that made me notice a significant reduction of acne was the Shielo Complexion Scrub.

This scrub did leave my face feeling less oily and cleaner.

I use it approximately 2-3 times per week after cleansing and it has yet to dry my face out. It’s not perfect, but I think it works about as well as some of the prescription treatments that i’ve used.

If you have severe acne, I highly recommend it. I bought online at Shielo’s website, which also has free shipping.

Ive used the plain oatmeal mask a few times and its AMAZING. It made my skin softer, got rid of small blackheads around my nose, and reduced redness on the few breakouts on my face. I don’t know if it can stop acne, but I have dry skin, but a simple oatmeal mask made my skin feel and look so much healthier. Just try it!

As someone with blemish-prone, stress-affected, oily skin, I am always looking for new products to add to my skin care regimen. I have tried about a million different kinds of masques, but this is by far my favorite mud mask. It reduces oil on the skin without leaving it dry and flaky, which is the first challenge. It also reduces pore size. Aside from the immediate skin improvement, it also makes my skin more manageable over time. With regular use, this masque leaves my skin clearer and fresher and less prone to blemishes. I use it about three times a week (alternating nights with a hydrating mask) and this has really been an amazingly purifying regimen for my skin.

Also, the “mint julep” part of this masque is just fantastic! It smells great – minty and fresh – while you are wearing it; leaves behind a subtle freshness when you rinse it off, and is tingly, cool and clean the whole time you are wearing it.

I use oatmeal for my face daily. It cleared it up less than 2 weeks. Here’s how I did it: I grab a small handful of oatmeal. Close my oatmeal in a fist, then turn the fist to the side to run lukewarm water in it until fully saturated. Then I like to add a bit of water to squeeze the oatmeal’s milky liquid.
Apply the liquid on my face, then put the oatmeal all over my face. Finally I rinse it off after I feel it’s clean. Last, immediately put your favorite moisturizer on. It works! Here’s a video link showing a girl named Bubzbeauty doing this:

This is really really great! I have been using it for a while now, and it is just wonderful. It really soothes the skin and brings out a healthy bright glow! It also makes my skin look better after a bad sunburn. My skin is so smooth and clear after using ground oatmeal mixed with water. I continue to wear the mask every day! Results may take up to a month for some, but its totally worth it. I love it! It’s not too harsh on my sensitive skin and nourishes it perfectly :)

It is simple and it feels great. A free treatment that works! It is NO worse than slathering on products with ingredients you can’t even pronounce. I just get a bowl and mix oatmeal w/warm water. Whatever I don’t use, I add brown sugar, cinnamon and eat it :-)

#1 (add honey… My secret) & 3 are by far the best for oily and acne prone skin types. I totally got of skin care regimen and my skin flared up again. Big mistake!!! Oatmeal mask three times a week (15 min) followed by an awesome moisturizer (and moisturizer w/ SPF during the day)…. Can you say glowing skin & tight skin. This is a double winner winner!!
Tip: those having a tough time removing mask… Remove with a damp microfiber wash cloth. Mask will Glides right off and leaves skin looking polished.

    All smiles here!

Im 55 and when was in my teens I tryed a OTC mud mask that burned my skin. My best friends mother told me about oatmeal for a facial mask and I’ve been using it ever since. Try putting it in a blender to make a powder out of it, you can use crushed fruit in it too.Check the internet about what fruit is best for your skin type.

I have used this when I was young about 12 and found it left my skin clean and incredibly soft. I also wanted it off immediatly. Persist though it feels yucky. If it dries out and can’t come off, get in the shower and use a warm face clothe to steam it off.
Thanks for the recipe’s and trip down memory lane.

Um, fyi masks AREN’T supposed to look “pretty”. They’re a mixture of ingredients put onto your face for several minutes. Upon drying, of course it’s not going to be the most appealing. I’ve been using Ground Oatmeal with water for years and it keeps my skin soft, radiant, and pimple-free. Never mind the so called look of the mask. It works wonders.

I don’t get why people don’t like this just because it “looks gross”. face masks aren’t meant to look nice, they’re meant to make your skin feel better, aren’t they?
Anyway, i found this amazing. i used the first method and with milk – yes i looked horrendous, especially when the milk started to dry and crack, but my skin feels so good right now. the small blackheads around my nose appear to be slightly smaller, and my nose feels so smooth!

I think this is great and everyone looking for an easy, home made face mask should try this. i fully recommend it!

This really does work. If you can at least try to do it every other day, it’ll help a lot. Also, if you add a little honey to the mask, it’ll make you feel hydrated, but not at all oily.

Wow, there’s people saying this recipe “sucks” and doesn’t work because it “looks gross”? How the fuck does that have anything to do with whether it’s effective or not? It’s a face mask, it’s not supposed to make you ~sexy~ WHILE you’re wearing it..!
For the record, this worked in calming my skin and reducing redness.

ive been using this mask for8 years now and no one can tell me it dosent work. for those of u that has troubled skin try adding about 3 drops of lavender essential oil to the recipe and lets see what u have to say. for those who just want to keep the skin clean and glowing .just use water but everyone please ,grind the oats in a small coffee grinder for beeeeautiful results.after you remove when dry , use almond ,grapeseed or jojoba oil to moisturize or shea butter .you can also put the oats in a white sock with ginger powder or juice in the bath, use the sock to scrub wit,if u have acold exxxxcellent, for sluggish skin the bomb.
