Symptoms & Causes Of Alzheimers

Alzheimer’s is serious brain disorder that affects day today life with memory loss and cognitive changes. Alzheimer is a degenerative disease, that begins with mild forgetfulness and spreads to serious neurological impairment and ultimately to death. Changes in the structure and chemical composition of the brain slowly destroy the ability to create, learn, reason and relate to others. As the result, critical cells die and drastic loss takes place in the personality of patient and body system fails.

Symptoms

  • Early symptoms, such as memory loss will appear and gradually loss of cognitive function disrupt the ability of the patient to perform common activities daily such as paying bill, driving, house keeping etc.
  • Such patient will routinely place important things in odd places
    Forgets the name of  family members and common objects
  • Frequently forget the entire conversation
  • They cannot follow recipe instruction
  • They are unable to maintain their check books
  • They get lost in familiar place

Causes

  • Alzheimer  can be caused to a person who has the history this disease in family. A clear pattern of AD is inherited in 10% of the cases.
  • Nearly all people suffering from ‘Down Syndrome’ develop the disease in their late 40s.
  • Untreated chronic heart diseases are high risk for this disease
    Adults who develop head injuries are more prone to disease
  • It is thought that gender also plays a role as the studies suggest that women are more prone to this disease as compared to men.
  • Those having diabetes and high cholesterol level also have great chances for developing the disease.

The gradual increase in memory loss is the indication of the disease. If it diagnosed at the right time then it changes for curing it increases.
