Time plays an important role in our lives. We have appointments to keep, people to meet, meetings to attend, trains to catch and so on and so forth. Innumerable activities depend upon how we manage our time. For this, we need to wear a watch. We constantly look at our watches to see if we have maintained the time or not. It becomes a habit. So a watch is important. Why so?
Why Do We Need a Watch?
- We need to manage our time. Time management is now part of our professional lives. If we maintain an effective schedule within the 24hrs we have, then we have successfully managed to utilize our time productively. Professionals these days focus on time management.Obviously, a watch is very essential to practice this
- We need to keep up with appointments. We may have important meetings to attend, or meet an important person. Even otherwise, when we have given time to someone, we should keep up to it. A watch helps us to maintain these appointments
- Doctors require it for professional work. They have to attend to innumerable patients, administer drugs on time and perform operations. They simply cannot do without a watch
- Scientific discoveries are time-based. Satellites are launched at a given time. All activities are synchronized. Any delay can upset the whole launch
- Even in warfare, decisions are timed. How to attack an enemy, when to attack are all time-bound
- We have deadlines to meet. Students have to submit their papers, professors have to complete their tasks and proposals have to be submitted at a given time. Our lives center around time. We constantly look at our watches
- Speeches are timed. With a given period of time, we try to convey as much as possible
- Even while conversing we are time conscious. We do not like to waste too much time in futile conversation
- Leisure time is also fixed. We spend our time according to what we have planned
A watch is essential for time-conscious people. Delays need to be avoided and every minute of our time has to be productively used. We need to contribute constructively in today’s modern world. The watch virtually dictates our lives!
