Why is breakfast important?

Do you know the feeling when you get up early in the morning and still feel tired?

The last energy reserves like carbohydrates and fats are burned before the body starts to take the energy from the body’s fat stores. During sleep time, your body is in a regeneration phase to get the energy for a new day.

But it is important to give the body new energy for a powerful start into the new day. A healthy breakfast is the right solution for a tired and flabby body.

Is pancake or PB&J the right breakfast?

There are too many different types of breakfast, to say whether it is right or not to eat pancake or PB&J in the morning is not the point because eating something is anyway already better than eating nothing.

But to eat the perfect breakfast has to be learned, then the choice of the right food is crucial for a good start into the new day. So take the necessary time to prepare a good breakfast. Then pancakes and PB&J don’t give you much other nutrition than fat and proteins.

Why not eat vegetables and fruits for breakfast?

Fill up your vitamin store already in the morning with fresh fruits and vegetables. Besides the many vitamins which boost your immune system, fruits like watermelon, peach or orange are also an ideal fluid supplier and thus support your hydration.

Vegetables are also a welcome breakfast. Especially peppers, tomatoes and cucumbers are the perfect complement to a healthy powerful start of the day. So why not prepare an omelet with tomatoes and peppers or add cucumbers to your toast sandwich the next time?

What is with whole grain products?

Whole grain products contain valuable vitamins, minerals and fiber and therefore saturate much longer compared to white flour products. But be aware since not everything that looks like whole grain is full of grain because many baked goods contain maltodextrin which creates a healthier look. True whole grain products are labeled as “whole grain”.

So when you love granola or bread for breakfast, make sure you get the whole grain version.

No more honey or maple syrup for breakfast?

Of course it is not wrong when you add some sweet to your breakfast such as honey, jam or maybe some chocolate sauce. But since the sugar content is often very high, you should consume it en masse.

Especially if you need to be concentrated on your work, it is recommended to eat less sugar for breakfast because a high blood sugar fluctuation can make it hard to concentrate and to performance well.

Also when you like cheese or meat for breakfast, the reduced fat version is recommended because it is easier to digest for your body.

It is not always necessary to change your breakfast completely but if you consider a few things and add some food such as vegetables or fruits and make sure you get the whole grain version, it will definitely become a
