It becomes very difficult to talk, eat or drink when open sores or
mouth ulcers
appear in the mouth. Due to these sores, a burning sensation is constantly felt in the mouth.
These sores are not contagious in nature. Eating salty or spicy food becomes very painful. Mouth ulcers may cause bad breath and mild fever. They may take around 5 to 7 days to heal.
Some mouth ulcers occur repeatedly which takes several more days to heal. In severe cases, mouth ulcers may lead to acute pain and fever.
Treatment of Mouth Ulcers
Some of the remedies for treatment of mouth ulcers are given below.

Indian Blackberry
– Take fresh and tender leaves of the Indian Blackberry and grind them to make paste. Mix this paste in one glass of water and gargle with this water. This is one of the good treatment of mouth ulcers.

Guava leaves
– Chew some fresh and soft guava leaves with white catechu. This will heal the ulcers within few days.

White Catechu
– Apply the paste of catechu mixed with water on the ulcers. This is one of the effective treatment of mouth ulcers.

Banana
– Eat a ripe banana mixed in curd. This will help in curing the ulcers. This is a good home remedy for mouth ulcers.

Lemon
– Grind the skin of a lemon and a white catechu to make a fine paste. Apply this on the ulcer. This will cure the mouth ulcer.

Fennel
– Take 2 tsp fennel and boil in a glass of water. Add a piece of roasted alum to the water. This water should be used as for gargles and mouth wash. This is a simple home remedy for mouth ulcers.

Rose water
– Mix rose water with glycerin and apply on the ulcers. This also is a good treatment of mouth ulcers.
