Bacteria present inside the mouth breakdowns sugar into acids which combine with enamel calcium and cause decay of tooth.

Home Treatment of Toothache

Some of the most effective home treatment of toothache are being provided below.

  • Clove

    : Keep one clove in the tooth cavity or apply little clove oil in the decayed tooth. It will give quick relief from toothache. Clove has antiseptic properties so it also decreases infection.

  • Garlic

    : Put a garlic clove with little rock salt on the affected tooth. It will give you relief from toothache. Eating a garlic clove daily before breakfast makes the teeth strong and healthy.

  • Pepper

    : Mix a pinch of pepper powder with a pinch of common salt to make an excellent dentifrice. Clove oil mixed with a pinch of pepper powder can be applied on the affected tooth to get pain relief.

  • Wheat grass

    : The wheat grass juice can be used as an effective mouthwash for tooth decay and toothache. It removes toxins present in the gums and checks the growth of bacteria .

  • Onions

    : Onion is a good bactericidal. Chewing onion daily kills all the germs in the mouth. It is a good home remedy for toothache.

  • Effective mouthwash

    : Add ¼ tsp.of potassium carbonate in 100 ml water and wash your mouth with this solution. The toothache lessens in few hours if you use it 3-4 times.
