When a person suffers from constipation, then there is a delay in the frequency of bowels and a feeling of incomplete evacuation. Hard stools occur and there is pain and difficulty in passing stools. The person experiences heaviness in the stomach, abdominal cramps, increased gas in the abdomen, lethargy, headache, dizziness, loss of appetite etc.
Home Treatment of Constipation
leaves of senna
to make a powder and take ½ tsp twice with warm water.
black raisins
and soak in hot water for a few hours then mash them and drink the juice, preferably at bed time.
Castor oil
and ¼ tsp of dried ginger powder in a cup of warm water and take at bedtime.
fennel
. In case of habitual constipation, try taking it with warm milk at bed time.
dates in milk
till soft; mash their pulp and mix in milk. Take it twice for a few days.
honey in lukewarm water
on an empty stomach regularly. This clears the bowels and acts as a prophylactic against the problems of digestion.
turmeric powder and black salt
along with warm water after meals.
