Bladder Cystitis or intestinal cystitis or painful bladder syndrome is a chronic condition in which severe pain is noticed in the bladder as well as in the pelvis. Excessive bladder pressure along with mild or severe burning can also be noticed.
This condition can be noticed in any individual. Right from a young kid to any male or female of any age group. This is a very disease which decreases the quality of life severely.
Symptoms Of Bladder Cystitis:
The symptoms of bladder cystitis vary from person to person. Some of these symptoms are:
- Pain will be there in the pelvis. In women it will be noticed in between the vagina and the anus and in males it can be noticed in between the scrotum and anus.
- A persistent and urgent need to urinate will be noticed.
- Frequent urination throughout the day and the whole night will be there. This will be in small amount.
- Pain in pelvic will be noticed during the sexual intercourse also. Males will experience painful ejaculation.
- Severe pelvic pain will be noticed.
Causes Of Bladder Cystitis:
Bacteria is considered to be the common cause for this disease. But the causes vary from individual to individual.The causes of bladder cystitis varies in males and in females. So these different causes are discussed below.
Cause Of Bladder Cystitis In Women:
This condition happens during the reproductive period of the women. There are many reasons for this condition to happen. Some of them are:
- The short length of the urethra
- Closeness of urethra to the vagina can give rise to this condition as it is the only place where bacteria survive.
- Sexual intercourse can cause this condition as the motion could let the bacteria reach the urethra from where they can reach the bladder.
- This condition is quiet common during pregnancy.
Cause Of Bladder Cystitis In Men:
This condition is not very common in men. But still some of the causes are:
- Bacterial infection in Prostrate
- Stone in urethra
- Bacterial Infection in urethra
