Growth hormones, now a banned substance, have been proved to promote looks but not physical performance. The analysis which carefully inquired into 27 studies involving 303 candidates, all of which dates back to a 1996 study, revealed that the growth hormones led to increased muscles and lean bodies but did not show any improvement in the physical performance of individuals.
Growth Hormones Induce Fatigue
Some studies among the sample studies collected also revealed that those candidates who used the growth hormones also secreted more “lactate”. Experts claimed that lactate is a by-product of exercise that often leads to fatigue.
Growth Hormones Do Not Increase Strength
The researchers further asserted that increased muscles did not imply increased physical strength of the candidates who depended on growth hormones. So apart from giving great looks and lean bodies, the growth hormones did nothing to increase the strength or performance of candidates.
Researchers still remain cynical about the way growth hormones work and say that it is way too early to declare that growth hormones improve only looks and not the performance of individuals.
