Excitement over a sports game can aggravate or cause heart problems. If you already have a weak heart, then any setback or win in the match might just raise your blood pressure. Often you may feel excited about a shot, or disheartened over some player missing a shot. This kind of constant excitement is added pressure on your heart, which can lead to heart ailments.

Some have had to have pacemakers fixed after getting excited over their team winning or had to get onto medication for hypertension.
