Stress Relieving Tips for the Busy Bees

Listen to music

Music not only relaxes your tensed muscles, but also relieves you from stress and helps you look at the bright side of life. In your busy hours, whenever you find time, turn on some music. Even singing a song that you like is an excellent stress outlet. You need not be a good singer; just sing the way you like. You could even readout your favorite poem.
While eating

Do not eat in a hurry. Enjoy your lunch and snack. Sugar, caffeine and alcohol increase the stress response of your nervous system. So avoid them as much as you can.
Let your imagination run wild

Close your eyes and give wings to your imagination. Try visualizing those beautiful things that can make you happy and improve your mood.
Do not hesitate to deny

If you feel that you are being assigned a job that you cannot do, or would be an over burden for you, never hesitate to say “no”. Saying “yes” wouldn’t help in such a situation because you would be in trouble and you would also be putting the other person in trouble (whom you had intended to help) if you are unable to finish the job. Handle such a situation diplomatically. Say no in a matter-of-fact way and in a polite manner so as not to offend the other person.
Be optimistic

Try to look at the good side of everything. This helps you boost your confidence and give you hope. “Things are not that bad after all”.
Accept failures

One must also learn to accept failures in life. Failures help you grow into a more matured and experienced person. If you find that something has not worked out the way you expected it to, try to sort out the reasons for failure. Try to find out some better means to carry out the work. Try out other areas where you can excel; the opportunities are endless.
Exercising

Exercising or even a walk can help you shift your attention from stressful situations. If you do not find time in between your busy schedule for exercise or walk, you could practice some breathing exercises inside your office room or house. Breathing exercises helps you relax your mind and body.
Games

There are games that you could play on your computer in between your busy schedule. Playing games is an excellent stress relief strategy.
