Now A Penis Cutting Condom For Rapists

A South African inventor Sonette Ehlers has demonstrated her first anti-rape female condom in Cape Town, on Wednesday. The anti-rape female condom hooks onto the attacker’s penis and may require him to visit the hospital. It aims to cut down the rates of sexual assault in the world.

There are more than 50,000 rape cases reported every year, and the real figure could be four times that because most rape cases of acquaintances or children never get reported.

Sonette Ehlers, 57 said “Nothing has ever been done to help a woman so that she does not get raped and I thought it was high time”. Ehlers said that ‘rapex’ hooks onto the rapist’s skin, allowing the victim sufficient time to escape and helping to identify perpetrators.

She said that the device, is made of latex and held firm by shafts of sharp barbs. It can only be removed by surgery, which will alert the hospital staff, and ultimately the police.

This new condom may also reduce the chances of pregnancy or HIV infection and other sexually transmitted diseases. South Africa has the highest number of HIV/AIDS cases in the world, and one in nine of its 45 million population are infected.

Inspite of several efforts, the government has failed to take any strict action against rapists that may dissuade them from indulging in such heinous crimes in the future. Now women can finally take a sigh of relief and remain protected in the worst of situations. We only hope this new condom hits the market soon.
