In a shocking incident, a sex worker stabbed her client, a Cambodian man because he refused her request to wear a condom. Sa Rida, a 24-year-old sex worker stabbed Suon Da, 25, twice, using a knife in the abdominal area at a brothel in Battambang province on Wednesday.
Apparently Suon Da had paid Sa Rida $1.20 to have sex with her. But when Suon Da repeatedly refused to wear a condom, Sa Rida gave up and left the room. But he chased her, demanding his money back and slapping the woman. So the woman responded by stabbing him in the stomach.
The woman was trying to prevent the transmission of diseases like HIV. But now the matter lies with the court to decide her fate after she inflicted injuries on another person. The man is now being treated at a hospital in Battambang province.
This recent incident goes to show that inspite of repeated warnings from government and health groups, men do not prefer using a condom, thus making the women vulnerable to the deadly disease. We think, the Cambodian Government should take strict action against the man too, because he deserves it. What do you say ???
