Green Leafy Vegetables Reduce The Risk Of Skin Cancer

sun.jpgAccording to a new research, eating green, leafy vegetables may be as important as wearing hats, sunscreen and protective clothing for the prevention of skin cancer.

It was observed that people who ate atleast three servings of green leafy vegetables a week reduced their risk of skin cancer by up to 55 percent.

Green leafy vegetables such as spinach contain crucial nutrients that can boost the skin’s natural defence against sun damage. These new findings highlight the importance of eating a healthy, well-balanced diet.

But the new findings, do not mean that if you eat green vegetables, you don’t need to wear hat or sunscreen. You should always protect yourself while going out.
