Sometimes, staying under the same roof becomes difficult for couples and divorce looks inevitable. Divorce seems an easy escape to cure all problems. But divorce, no matter how smooth it is, causes tremendous emotional and physical stress to both the partners, their children, parents and the whole family. You should remember that there is no such thing as easy divorce.
It has been observed that after a divorce, both the partners, no matter how independent they are, feel depressed and lonely. Divorce is not a cure, it infact creates a set of other serious problems – financial, physical and emotional. And study shows that women are the most affected from a bad marriage. They need to cope with the challenges of a single parent and manage all financial aspects. Women are also more dependent on thier partners emotionally, so they tend to feel stressed, depressed and unhappy, thus affecting their health in the long run.
Try to work at your marriage, instead of opting for divorce because ‘everyone else is doing it’. A successful marriage requires a lot of hard work from both the partners. If nothing else seems to work, seek professional help for marriage counseling. A marriage is like a small plant, that requires a lot of nurturing and caring, so take care of that plant. And see the beautiful fruits of marriage and love.
