New research shows that Almonds may help protect against heart disease and diabetes risk. It was found that eating almonds may help avoid blood sugar spikes and prevent oxidative stress.
Dr. Cyril Kendall from the University of Toronto said, “We found that eating almonds can have a significant impact in blunting the gylcemic and insulin responses of the body when fed with a carbohydrate meal”. An earlier study showed that almonds reduce LDL cholesterol levels, but this new research may help people in managing their blood glucose levels and the onset of diabetes, while promoting a healthy heart.
It would be good to incorporate almonds into our diet throughout the year. People with diabetes can also benefit from including modest amounts of almonds in their diet on a regular basis.
Almonds are also good for your brain and sexual health. You can also mix a spoon of almond oil in milk for better memory and concentration. So go ahead, include those almonds in your diet !!!
