According to a recent study, a little amount of dark chocolate a day thins the blood and cuts the risk of clots in much the same way as taking aspirin.
U.S researchers carried out the tests on 139 chocoholics. “Eating a little bit of chocolate or having a drink of hot cocoa as part of a regular diet is probably good for personal health, so long as people don’t eat too much of it, and too much of the kind with lots of butter and sugar”, said Professor Diane Becker.
But you should remember that Dark Chocolate, not white or milk chocolate is good for you. Milk chocolates tend to be higher in fat and sugar, and can be bad for your health.
According to a previous study, dark chocolate is also good for people with heart disease and blood pressure. But remember the word
moderate
as you nibble that delicious chocolate !
