Bird Flu ! Not again, you might say. But that’s just what is being feared in Thailand once again.
Thailand’s government has ordered all livestock authorities to disinfect poultry farms, to prevent any outbreak of bird flu. Farms have been ordered to disinfect as soon as the flood waters recede.
Thailand and its neighbouring countries, Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam, Myanmar (Burma) and Malaysia also agreed to work together to prevent any possible outbreaks. The last case of bird flu in Thailand was more than three months ago, but after the recent floods, there is an urgent need for disinfection.
