Amla
is
Indian Gooseberry
. It is often said that what gold is to minerals, amla is to the herbs. Like most berries, amla is low in sugar and high in fibre content. It is an ideal daily fruit for almost everyone. It is the richest source of Vitamin C. However, if you have a heart problem, check with your doctor before taking amla regularly. This is because amla is known to stimulate the heart.
This tiny fruit is believed to be the most potent and rejuvenating agent known to mankind. One tiny amla fruit has as much Vitamin C as two oranges.
